Do you get heartburn frequently? Or maybe just with certain meals? Indigestion is due to a lack of stomach acid. Taking an antacid reduces stomach acid….wait for it…causing more heartburn! Raw apple cider vinegar, on the other hand, has a high acid content and it helps the breakdown of the food your body is trying to digest. I only use Braggs but you can use what you like as long as it is raw.
After eating, if you have heartburn or any trouble digesting, take 1 or 2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar. If you need some sweetness add some raw honey(also helpful in aiding digestion) or raw agave nectar. It’s best not to mix in water as you need the vinegar to be as acidic as possible to help the digestion.
Not only is Raw Apple Cider Vinegar beneficial to aiding heartburn but it has so many other healing properties including alkalizing your pH(which is an entirely different topic), an antibacterial and antifungal, helps breakdown fat, relieves constipation and the list goes on. I’ll leave it to these two articles listed below to explain the benefits in greater depth: http://www.globalhealingcenter.com and http://www.buzzle.com
